Brexit Party Assembly Members have fled the field by abstaining on all amendments calling for the scrapping of the Welsh Assembly despite publicly committing to its disestablishment only 3 days ago.
Despite committing to "scrapping the Senedd" in the media only days ago, Brexit Party members of the Welsh Assembly have today failed to make good on their new policy and vote in favour of amendments tabled by UKIP's Neil Hamilton calling for a referendum to end devolution in Wales.
AMs Mandy Jones and colleague David Rowlands both abstained on the amendments with Group Leader Mark Reckless and fellow member Caroline Jones being notably absent on the vote.
Questions arise as to why Mark Reckless in particular was absent from such an important vote considering he made contributions in the Siambr only a few hours prior.
This follows a previous vote on scrapping the Assembly once again tabled by Neil Hamilton in March of this year where again, the Brexit Party refused to vote in favour.
It is now clear that the Brexit Party in Wales are no friends of devo-sceptics.
Was their announcement just a publicity stunt?
